The former Waldhotel Stuttgart (previously 3-star) consisted of a historic building and garden (1920) and an extension of the building from the 1980s. A third new building is now enhancing the ensemble of buildings concerning urban planning. This new extension building has the newly set aim of becoming a 4-star hotel, offering optimum rooms with a view onto the forest and overlooking the historical building/garden.
On the outside, the new
timeless facade with a division into small elements and a timber facade blend in a "forest hotel" theme. The facade is made more transparent and opened up by balconies and large windows compared to the previous buildings, but at the same time seemingly moves them closer together.

"Poetic modernism" describes the architectural concept, according to which the Waldhotel in Stuttgart-Degerloch was redesigned and expanded structurally. Elements of modernity are interwoven here with poetic approaches. The starting points for the new interior design of the Waldhotel were the themes "forest" and "hotel near the forest", "nature" and the ability to experience them with all senses.
