Hotel 4-star„Privathotel Waldhotel Stuttgart“, Stuttgart/ D

Throughout the interior, the diversity of nature is reflected in the selection of furniture, wallpapers, curtains and lamps from exclusive, designer-driven manufacturers like Gervasoni, Flexform, Terzani, Knoll, Treca beds, Kvadrat, Philippe Hurel, Hans Grohe, Kettal, Santa & Cole, Cole & Son and international designers such as Matteo Thun, Patricia Urquiola, Vivienne Westwood and Philippe Starck.

Some examples: In the lobby, the "cloverleaf" ceiling lamps from the Italian manufacturer Terzani throw abstract large shades in the shape of shamrocks on the ceiling. The historical, large table made of Venetian wood by Matteo Thun gives a very natural impression. In times of "sampling", Behncke has intensified the focus on nature, with references to contemporary art/ music / fashion and design trends allowing visitors to experience a complex sensual and visual language on many levels - just like when experiencing a good work of art.

For hotel visitors who travel globally and are up to current events, the wallpaper in the "Lindensaal" ("Basswood Hall") was designed by the famous British fashion designer Vivienne Westwood displaying floral patterns, in which spiders and other "creepy" animals are "weaved" in, being an ironic and witty use of traditional patterns. For the client who is simply looking for a cozy hotel, the wallpaper seems to have simply a beautiful, old-fashioned, floral pattern.

In Behncke’s architecture of the new building, the integration into the existing ensemble and turning towards nature are the most important features. This is made possible by the use of large windows and balconies, climbing wine plants which cover the facade and the creation of a sheltered courtyard. The harmounious integration into the mostly existing architecture was accomplished successfully.
